Adding text to pages

I'm fairly new to Piwig so please forgive me if this is very easy. I've done a number of searches but couldn't find what I'm looking for.

Basically I just want to add my own text to pages. For example the Upload Photos page I'd like to put some basic information about photo permissions and uploading quality pictures only. I'm just not sure where to do this.

Thank you in advance!

Re: Adding text to pages

I wasn't really successful at this but I was able to add top level navigation in the header area using simple html/css. There I was able to link to any page, Piwigo or non-Piwigo as needed.

Hope this is helpful to someone else :)

Re: Adding text to pages

Thank you for saying this can be done; I was just about to look into trying it because I realized there was no linkback to my site where people would be coming from and there was NO uniformity of look/feel...I still won't have that, but at least the nav would be helpful...can you post or send the html/css you used that worked? And did you put it in the little text window or did you add it to the CSS page of the theme?

Thank you again!

Re: Adding text to pages

<table id="title" width="100%" height="50px" border="0">
  <tr>
    <td width="8px">&nbsp;</td>
    <td width="230px"><p align=left style="font-size:18pt;"><img src="" width="229" height="79"/></td>
    <td width="8px">&nbsp;</td>
    <td width="600"><p align=left><a href="#" target="_blank">Link 1</a> | <a href="#" target="_blank">Link 2</a> | <a href="#">Link 3</a></p></td>
    <td align="right"><img src="" width="170" height="42"/></td>
    <td width="8px">&nbsp;</td>
  </tr>
</table>

I added the above to the 'Page Banner' area under Configuration > Options.
Basically I had an 'Image Library' image on the left, my links and our logo on the far right, nothing fancy.

I didn't apply CSS changes to the template. As you can see I had some in-line style but for the global setting such as fonts and mouseover effects, I added the 'LocalFiles Editor' plugin. There under the CSS tab I added my CSS overrides to style the banner area and pretty much everything else.

Re: Adding text to pages

You could achieve something similar using the Header Manager Plugin.
[extension by mistic100] Header Manager

This allows you to use a photo as a Banner, or to use a number of photos as random banners.

Additional html can be added in the same way as your links were added.
