Zooming GIF images with Autosize

Hey,

My Problem
  Zooming/Enlarging animated GIF Images

I'm using
  Theme Elegant
  Autosize 3.1.4

I've tried to use Autosize as a solution, but it seems to have a bug? ...or something.

it zooms animated GIFs to the maximum content size "most of the time"
usually whenever I've first start with a JPG the cookie seems to set the right window size.
Then, when I switch to an animated GIF it zooms to the maximum screen size.
Which would be what I'm looking for :)

Trouble is, when I clean out the cookies+cache and start with a animated GIF right away it gets a completley wrong height x width. Seems to be stuck at 7xzoom of the original size, no matter what zoom level (i.e.: 0.5 or 1.0) I set.

So a 500x278 animated gif would get 3518x1965.
   My screen resolution is 1920x1200.
I've also tested it in unmaximized view with the same result.
With and without the elegant-menus to the left and right on/off.

After switching with that wrong resolution to a jpg image, the size suddenly fits again the way it should. Switching then once more back to the GIF, the zoom works correctly the way I would need it to be (max screen resolution with the menus not cutting anything off).

I wonder if this is simply a bug that's not supposed to happen with GIFs ? If so how can I use it to my advantage ? :)
