VideoJS plugin Need testing

Hi all,

Some big change are coming.
In order to avoid issue, I wish to have some feedback prior to the release.

The main change are:
- Add videojs plugins support:
  * videojs-rotatezoom: allow to rotate and zoom a video with the poster. It useful for video taken from mobile device.
  * videojs-thumbnails: displays thumbnail images over the progress bar.
  * videojs-watermark: displays watermark over the video.
  * more details in Wiki: https://github.com/xbgmsharp/piwigo-vid … ojs-plugin
- Use MediaInfo instead of GetiD3 library, this allow more parameters sync with piwigo.
- Add support for multiple sources.
- Improve batch manager.
- Drop Piwigo 2.4 support.

As part of a standard sync, the following metadata are sync: filesize, width, height, lat, lon, date_creation, rotation
As part of a metadata display, the following metadata are sync: format, type, duration, overall_bit_rate, model, make, display_aspect_ratio, frame_rate, channel, sampling_rate
If Piwigo 2.6 include a EXIF hook even without EXIF data, I will be able to show the metadata of the video as for a photo.

If you are interested in beta testing the plugin, follow the instruction https://github.com/xbgmsharp/piwigo-vid … stallation

Please use this forum to discuss issues, post questions and make suggestions.
I appreciate your participation!
Happy testing.

Thanks.

Re: VideoJS plugin Need testing

The new version add some other external dependencies.
To generate thumbnail, you need FFmpeg.
To use the metadata, you need MediaInfo.
Documentation is up to date.

Re: VideoJS plugin Need testing

Hi ,

I have a wierd issue so I thought I would tell it here instead of opening an issue right now :

- I'm using webm only mode :

- if I use videojs directly on IE9+ : the message telling that it can't be played is well shown :

http://photos.memeteau.org/testvideo.html

- If I use the piwigo-videojs, the message is shown briefly and then the poster is back again and then I cannot tell the user which plugin to download :

http://photos.memeteau.org/picture.php? … ategory/53

How could I change this so the message is correctly displayed ? It seems to happen only on browsers that support HTML5 video but not this codec ( works on IE8)
