Templates with optional URL keyword not working

Hello,

I hope I havent found a bug here but rather a user error on my end ;)

I'm using a:
theme:elegant and the default-theme's "default tpl's":

custom1-picture.tpl without optional URL parameter
custom2-picture.tpl with a category name optiona URL parameter

Which works fine.
But as soon as I'm changing:

$conf['question_mark_in_urls'] = true;
  to
$conf['question_mark_in_urls'] = false;

the custom1-picture.tpl without optional URL parameter is showing everywhere (on /tags /categories etc).

edit:
additionally if I test the URL with ....website.com/picture.php/43....
the URL Parameter picture template won't show
and with ....website.com/picture.php?/43.... it works (without chaning the $conf for this test)

Piwigo 2.5.1
Operating system: Linux
PHP: 5.2.17
MySQL: 5.5.30-30.1

Re: Templates with optional URL keyword not working

Seems to be a more difficult problem ?

Maybe there's a workaround.

I wouldn't mind it if I'd keep the /index.php?/ in the URLs, as long as
any URLs like /index.php/ would still work as well.
(I can't turn it completely off again, because I've backlinks set for traffic generating that
dont allow ? in the URLs)

So in short, 'question_mark_in_urls'] = true; and both versions working would be ok,
as long as BOTH custom picture.tpl's would be working :)

I've got a local piwi playground as well if somebody has some ideas to test or mess around.
