Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

Hi.

A new PiwigoMedia version is now available.

* update: compatibility with Piwigo 2.4.3
* update: updated JS code to make it work with IE8 (but needs more testing).
* update: “Thumbnail” and “Insert:” were missing in POT.
* update: better security checks in popup.php.
* new: French (fr_FR) translation (Dimitri Robert).

Please report any issues.

Cheers

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

PiwigoMedia has been updated to version 1.0.0.

This is a major update as most of the plugin's core has been rewritten and it now relies heavily on ajax queries.
This release also fixes all the latest reported issues.

I'm yet to test this release on IE and Safari browsers. Reports on this matter are very appreciated.

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

Hi everyone,

I am seaching for a way to use piwigo* plugin to display a gallery like the wordpress media gallery (shortcode [gallery ...]). That would be spectacular.

Has anyone thought about such an extension?

Thanks

Norbert

Hi João

João C. wrote:

that is a good thing, thanks a lot, but AFAIS it does not solve the problem I asked for.

The JetPack provides a way to make a slideshow from items in the media library, using code like:
   [gallery type="slideshow" link="post" columns="1" ids="170,171,172,173,174"]

which generates something like at the bottom of this page: http://blog.preining.info/2013/01/25/panorama-knife/

Now what I would like is a way to do a similar thing with piwigo photos ;-)

Anyway, thanks for adding shortcuts, that is a great improvement!

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

Version 1.1.1 is now available:

* new: pwg-gallery shortcode. This shortcode uses Galleria JS library (http://galleria.io/) to display Piwigo categories as inline galleries.
* update: curl requests are now configured to bypass peer verification. This solves the problem with self-signed certificates.

Needs testing, please give feedback.

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

Pretty cool plugin. I especially like the gallery function. Anyhow I found a "problem" there.

In shortcode.php line 28 it says:
    Galleria.loadTheme('wp-content/plugins/p....
that causes an error message that the theme could not be loaded. I replaced this by
    Galleria.loadTheme('/wp-content/plugins/p....
and now it seems to work (mind the / in the beginning of the path).
Anyhow I'm not sure if this is really the best solution or if it would be better to determine the path to the plugin dynamically.
I'm also wondering whether or not it would be possible to get the "bigger" picture when clicking on the page in an embedded frame (like e.g. lightbox does it) and not in a new page.
It would also be great to see some information of the picture (e.g. title or description) in the default theme. Is this possible or not?
Maybe there is an alternative to use galleria.io ??

Thanks & Best Regards

Walter

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

Great!

That are good news. I have fixed it locally for my purposes, but wasn't sure what else needs to be done.

Thanks

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

I'm having a little problem with the plugin (as an FYI, i also tried PiwigoPress and it wouldn't pull anything off the gallery).  My site is http://meyermed.com.  My Piwigo Gallery is currently at http://meyermed.com/photos2/

When I put that url into the settings in the wordpress admin console, and try to use it in a "new post" I get a popup but it says "no access".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: PiwigoMedia - WordPress plugin

I'm having the same issue. Have no idea what URL I'm supposed to put into the PiwigoMedia plugin settings and the developer doesn't seem to be responding to anyone who is having this issue which is really annoying. I want to set up this gallery, but don't want to waste my time on it if it's not going to easily integrate into my WP site.

Developer, help please??
