Have been looking but have not found an answer.

I do not get the watermark to appear. Not on some sizes at all.

Grafikbibliotek: External ImageMagick 6.4.8

which sizes ?

What could cause the watermark not to work?

I tried different width and size combinations. It just doesn't work?

Besides uploading my own watermark.png, I had also tried copyright.png, Sample.png and Owned_Stamp.png.

I'd also click on everything on maintenance and and uploaded again.

Are you using video plugin ? (It has an issue that may break watermark)
What graphics library/version do you have (displayed in the admin landing page)

It was not working before I'm using Embedded Videos plugin

Graphics Library: External ImageMagick 6.2.8

I think the image magick lib is too old or not compatible. Try switch graphics library to gd
