Piwigo version 2.6.1.
Working beautifully with the Wordpress / Coppermine and so on and so forth. When accessing the piwigo installation all seems great but when I click on Administration link I get a blank page and this error in the php error log:

I tried removing cookies / clearing cache / restarting browser - nothing.
I know there was a similar thread (or at least I think so...) here http://fr.piwigo.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=207910 unfortunately Polish and English are the only 2 languages I know and even google translate was unable to help me... hence this message.
Kind regards.

Do you have the date.timezone setting
Do you have the date.timezone setting set in your php.ini?
Stupid stupid stupid...
I was merging /etc/php/php.ini last night and I have by accident forgotten to un; the
;date.timezone = Europe/Dublin
line... Stupid stupid stupid...
Works fine now.
Thanks You all.
I had a similar problem after upgrading, caused by a different stupid mistake on my part.
I described it at fr.piwigo.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=24804&p=2 because it was a bit closer to my own issue. In the end I just needed to restart Apache.
In addition to the information I posted there about php53u, there is another tutorial on it at www.centos.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2 … p;start=10
This fixed it for me:
