Nice changes, is there an easy way I can install this beta and export the tables from the stable release, or duplicate them with a prefix in order to help you test it out?
Lemme know!

1) dump the database of your "stable release"
2) install Piwigo 2.7.0RC1 somewhere, in a fresh new database (follow install.php)
3) import your dump in your new database, it will recreate tables and fill with your data
4) open your 2.7 in your web browser, it will detect "some database upgrades are missing", click on the link.
Happy testing :-)
