[2.7] Batch Manager screen

I think it would be better English to say "Image ratio ..." (instead of "ratio of the image")

Secondly, we normally use 16:9 (rather than 16/9) etc.

Also, we have a random selection of Upper case and lower case first letter for the Predefined Filters.

Re: [2.7] Batch Manager screen

I have just noticed we have jumbled negatives:
2 "without ..."
and
3 "with no ..."

Although these all mean the same thing, perhaps we should use "with no ..." for "With no album" and "With no virtual album" i.e. where there is no opposite filter?

Is it possible to arrange the listing in logical pairs?
If not, perhaps a little bit of judicious editing to achieve the best result!

Re: [2.7] Batch Manager screen

On a more general note, I do not really understand all these differing filters.
What is the difference between a Predefined Filter and any other Filter?
Why do we sometimes go down a level, but other times (with Predefined Filters) we stay on the same level or jump to the top?

Is a Predefined Filter one that has to come first or is it one that has its selection "predefined" and with no user input???
If just the former than the wording is wrong to me.

I guess this all applies to v2.8 with a new Batch Manager!

Hi Tadjio,

Where do you read "ratio of the image"?

Did you read that on the help popup for the "search" filter?

As far as I can see, all "core" prefilters are Uppercase. Maybe it should be normalized in plugins.

Good suggestions, we'll try to improve it for Piwigo 2.7.1+

The difference is not very clear. I would say that there is no "settings" for prefilters. Of course, now we have an exception with "Duplicates" which have settings...

One "problem" with prefilters is that you can "combine" them. You can have only one prefilter at once.

Until Piwigo 2.6, it was easy to add prefilters by plugins (and complicated to add filters). This is maybe why we have this sub-level of filter. Now that we made code simpler for adding filters, maybe we should flatten the system and remove "prefilters".

Re: [2.7] Batch Manager screen

I have just returned from my holiday to find plg's postings.
Here is the Batch Manager screen that I am talking about, showing the "random" wording...

I do think it is worth changing and improving this wording for 2.7.0

This is not the core

I guess it's [extension by P@t] Batch Manager Prefilters or other extension

And it's obsolete now, since we have the "dimensions" filter now. I will remove it from the plugin.
