Upgrade error 2.6.3 to 2.7.1

Here's the message with Tools>Updates>

Code:

Warning: [mysql error 2006] MySQL server has gone away

SELECT mail_address
  FROM piwigo_users
  WHERE id = 1
; in /[piwigo]/include/dblayer/functions_mysqli.inc.php on line 798

Fatal error: Call to a member function fetch_row() on a non-object in /[piwigo]/include/dblayer/functions_mysqli.inc.php on line 186

Warning: [mysql error 2006] MySQL server has gone away

REPLACE INTO piwigo_sessions
  (id,data,expiration)
  VALUES('60E559c755146fa117d6f5a74b2b9fded417','pwg_device|s:7:\"desktop\";pwg_mobile_theme|b:0;pwg_uid|i:1;',now())
; in /[piwigo]/include/dblayer/functions_mysqli.inc.php on line 798

Since there is a suggestion of a MySQL error, I thought I'd post here before manually upgrading. Getting a similar error when I try to check for plugin updates.

Thanks for any help

Piwigo version: 2.6.3
Operating system: Linux
PHP: 5.2.17 [2014-10-13 18:43:35]
MySQL: 5.1.73-log [2014-10-13 18:43:35]
Graphics Library: External ImageMagick 6.6.0-4

Thank you for responding. I tried again tonight and update worked, so whatever it was was fixed.

Even though the error was about MySQL not working, my site was working.

Hello
that was a server crash of 1and1. Nothing related to piwigo except that several users on that server where using piwigo

Re: Upgrade error 2.6.3 to 2.7.1

ireneeng... I will try to stay polite..
I already answered you, then plg answered and said the same. That's the second or third time you do this. You're wasting our time again. Either you invest your time to understand the very simple thing we say and so manage you website, either you invest your money on piwigo.com or hiring someone to do the maintenance of your website. Like a car, you either repair and change the oil yourself or your hire someone.
So next time I see your exact same post about that error, I delete it, like before.
