Hi there,
Just upgraded from 2.6.3 to 2.7.0 to 2.7.1 and I noticed some changes in how special characters are handled when uploading a file/photo.
For example "Heroes' Square" became "Heroes\' Square".
If I download the file it looks okay with the same name.
I only have to adjust the name manually in the title.
Is there any way to avoid this (manually renaming title) at all?
PS .. I noticed that in the 2.6.3 version the ' was stripped: "Heroes' Square" became "Heroes Square"
Is there a new option, because I do not see the ' in $conf['sync_chars_regex']?
Thanks,
Matthijs

Hello
that sounds more like an issue in escaping/unescaping ' and " which are delimiters in informatics
but I'm surprised; nothing has changed on that side
please reupload all files by overwriting exisiting ones
then if it still appears, tell us exactly where; check inside administation, on the public side the tooltip of thumbnails etc
thx

Okay .. I just notice the old file was original without the ' character.

The question I now have, why is the ' handled/displayed as \' when its not mentioned in the $conf['sync_chars_regex']?
I guess I just have to avoid the ' character at all times.
Will remove the file/photo and upload again without the ' character.
PS .. I noticed that as tag the ' is removed in the url, but no problems to display correct tag:
Home / Tag Heroes' Square -> http://www.vanwageningen.net/index/tags … oes_square
PS .. thanks for your quick reply ;-)
