use iptc:location

Hi,

Since a few days I'm evaluating piwigo as replacement for gallery3, and I have to say I'm very impressed! However, theres a few things I need some advice. Here's the first (others will follow later in other topics):

Is there any way to read Iptc4xmpCore:Location from the image files and use it as a filter for smart albums?

Piwigo version: 2.7.2
PHP: 5.3.29
MySQL: 5.1.36
Graphics Library: ImageMagick 6.6.1-5
Piwigo URL: None yet, everything is on my local NAS (Qnap TS-432 Pro II+ v4.1.1 (2014/11/01)

Theme: stripped_responsive

Installed Plugins: Additional Pages, Admin Tools, Advanced Menu Manager, Autocomplete, Batch Downloader, Contact Form, Easy Captcha, Extended Description, Grum Plugin Classes, LocalFiles Editor, Manage meta tags, Perso Footer, PWG Stuffs, SmartAlbums, Take a Tour, Thumbnail Tooltip, User Collections

Thanks in advance, naunet

Re: use iptc:location

Hello
using the lcoal config Piwigo can use and read any iptc/exif that php can read
Then about advanced use for smart albums, that's to author of the plugin you should ask

Re: use iptc:location

Smart Albums is only able to use data present in the database

if you configure Piwigo to convert this iptc field into a tag, it will be totally useable by SA
