Pinterest and Fotomoto

Dear developers,

Would anyone be interested in creating plugins for posting photos on to Pinterest.com?

There is also interesting e-commerce platform Fotomoto.com. They do develop plugins themselves, and I placed request there. Wonder if anyone would be interested?

Re: Pinterest and Fotomoto

Okay my point of view is you want a plugin to sell your pictures  but you don't want to invest? :-\
Moreover we can't (and will not as piwigo team,  but maybe as individual)  make a plugin for all social website and selling platform. But I  remember of an AddThis plugin

[i] Edit : my answer was to someone who deleted his reply:-\ he was asking also for pinterest and an other publishing platform.  [\i]

Re: Pinterest and Fotomoto

This was just a suggestion. As I said I have also suggested this to the Fotomoto team. Let's see.

Re: Pinterest and Fotomoto

Thanks flop25. Your point of view makes sense. On the other hand what's the point of spending money if nobody wants to buy my photos anyway? If I was willing to spend, I would have continued paying to Photoshelter. I have moved from paid service to the open-source platform exactly because of being unwilling to pay.

The BUY button is mostly a nostalgia. May be a little bit of vain.

BTW here is what Derek from Fotomoto send me:

Thank you for your message and interest in using Fotomoto.

We don't have any documented instructions on using Fotomoto with Piwigo.org, but it may very well be possible - it should only take a few minutes to give it a try.

There would need to be a way that you can insert a bit of JavaScript into the code for your Piwigo site. To do this you would need to do is create a Fotomoto account at http://my.fotomoto.com/ then copy the Fotomoto Script (JavaScript) and paste it somehow in to the HTML code for your site just above the </body> tag.

See this article for general instructions:
http://support.fotomoto.com/customer/po … tml-sites-

If that doesn't work, Piwigo might want to consider offering an integration with Fotomoto, so you might want to contact them and let them know you'd like to use Fotomoto with their service. You can pass this article along to them as well http://support.fotomoto.com/customer/po … er-with-us

I hope that helps and please do let us know how it goes!

Kind regards,
Derek

You see - I am again on my own in the ocean full of sharks. May be I should fall on my knees and crawl back to Photoshelter people - they were so nice to me.

Or should I start from getting myself a copy of HTML for Dummies book?

Merci à tous.

Re: Pinterest and Fotomoto

My kind-of-angry answer was to an other user, less nice than you
You can use a plugin ("add meta" or something like that)
I will take a look further at their doc

Re: Pinterest and Fotomoto

In december 2014, I've been discussing with Fotomoto to make integration simpler with Piwigo. I'm late on this topic, but I will work on it soon (in March hopefully)
