Upgrade to 2.7.4 giving white screen

Hello, wonderful Piwigo folks!

Just installed Piwigo using the 1-click install offered at Dreamhost (hosting company). When I logged in, I saw that there were a couple of updates available. I tried upgrading directly to 2.7.4 (it said it was recommended... I think my install was originally 2.6.2) and it thought for a bit and then gave me a blank white screen. So I upgraded to 2.6.5 and it worked.

Then I tried upgrading to 2.7.4 (the only option left on the upgrade screen) again and still got the white screen. That was all using PHP 5.4. I contacted Dreamhost tech support and they recommended trying PHP 5.3 with fastcgi. So I did. Still got the white screen. No error message.

Is there an error log somewhere I should check?

Piwigo version: 2.6.5
PHP version: 5.3.29 (also tried on 5.4 with same results)
MySQL version: 5.1.56-log
Piwigo URL: http://home.deppner.us/pics/

Your requirements page says PHP 5.2 -- is that the minimum, or does it only run on 5.2? Any other suggestions?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Re: Upgrade to 2.7.4 giving white screen

I created an account on the forum, so this is the same Teddi that posted this originally.

Also, new info: I tried PHP 5.6 fastcgi also, just in case it made a difference. This time got the error "No data received. Error code: ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE". Not sure if that's useful.

I am also new to Piwigo, on Dreamhost and suffering with the same issue.

Any advice on how to upgrade, or recommendations why I should not are most welcome.

Re: Upgrade to 2.7.4 giving white screen

Just had the same problem with Piwigo 2.7.4 and Dreamhost. It did work when I installed manually though, there is a page on the Piwigo site that tells you how. That;s the first time Dreamhost "auto update" of any onc-click install has not worked.
