Hello/Hi/Greetings,

Am rebuilding from broken menalto2 install. Have newer database than the set of images.
Pardon me if any of this is obvious. Am a bit nervous

1. Is there a place to input database from gallery menalto?

2. My menalto database will have more items than are in my albums. Will they only transfer if in both places (database/album)? If not is there a way to get rid of database items that don't have image.

Hi (again ;-) wittenbp,

We can't help you much to rebuild your Menalto. What I can say is that [extension by plg] Menalto2Piwigo can copy database (photo and album) properties from your Menalto to Piwigo. If you have to rebuild your Menalto database, I think that is useless, you'd better import photo directly into your Piwigo.

Thanks - my database is fine, but it is just a bit newer than the image set that I have.

I have moved images into the galleries directory and they are being recognized.

I can't see where to engage the database file that I would like to import. Maybe it comes later in a sequence of steps?

What do you mean by you "have moved images into the galleries directory", did you do that manually?
The menalto2piwigo script mentioned above by plg is supposed to do that, and I remember it asked the Menalto gallery database password in some step and converted data.
