macsharepiwigo

Hi,

I've been trying out the new "MacSharePiwigo" extension (v1.0).

       http://piwigo.org/ext/extension_view.php?eid=804

I'm sincerely looking forward to this extension's functionality, so thanks marcsins for creating it.

The install process goes smoothly and apparently error free.   If I then start the application the installer places in 'Applications', the app opens, dock icon bounces, but the app then dies/disappears.

I tried turning the Share Extension on in 'System Preferences' -> 'Extensions' -> 'Share Menu'.  I then find a file I want to upload, right click on the file, come down to 'Share' and select 'Piwigo' and I get the same result.  The app starts and dies.

Same result if I try to use the share extension within OS X Photos.

In my /var/log/system.log I see numerous entries like:

SubmitDiagInfo[379]: Submitted problem report file:///Users/<username>/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/Piwigo_2015-07-19-194704_<computername>.crash

Looking into that 'crash' file, I see:

I've tried installing the extension on three different OSX machines all running OSX 10.10.4 and receive a similar result.

I tried booting into 'Safe Mode', where afterward trying to initiate the MacShare extension/app, a window opens, but immediately disappears and in the 'Console', I see:

I looked around to see if I could find anything about the 'Code Signature Error' reported above.  The most useful information I found was:

Any thoughts?

Re: macsharepiwigo

+1

I'd really love to see this tool working. I found another information about this at Apple:

https://developer.apple.com/library/mac … tside.html

Maybe this might be useful.

Best regards

Re: macsharepiwigo

Hi,

Excuse my poor english, but I am not native.

The install program open and close immediatly an window,it is useful simply has to install the share module. then should see you the menu piwigo in the menu share.

It work only with picture JPG, PNG not other file.

This version run very well on my Mac 10.10 (don't work with less another version)  but in French version (I can't test english version) , is that which is used for the development and there are perhaps differences with the English version and/or the code country. ???

I could not check before month September, because I am on holiday and without my mac.

Be patient Thanks

Bests regards

Re: macsharepiwigo

I agree.  I think the issue is associated with how the application is signed.

If it would help, I'm happy to iterate with you once you return from your holiday.

Thanks again.

Re: macsharepiwigo

I can confirm that the new Piwigo "Share" option does appear after installation when you right-click on an image file.  However, when you select it, nothing happens.

Re: macsharepiwigo

Hi,

I'm working on the new version of MacSharePiwigo

At the installation, MacSharePiwigo works only once time.

It is normal that the window appears and disappears immediately.

This only serves to install the sharing module.

Best regards

Re: macsharepiwigo

Hi,

Please, do not run MacSharePiwigo program, it is useless, except the first time at the installation to install the sharing module.

you must use the command "Piwigo" in the menu "Share" to access the MacSharePiwigo module
