I think GPX broke OSMaps

Hi,

I just uploaded my first GPX file
http://www.colinandbethany.com/photos/p … tegory/182
after a trip to Kauai.

Now my OpenSourceMaps appear blank.  My google maps still work.  See:
http://www.colinandbethany.com/photos/o … 82&v=2

Is there anything that jumps out to you before I start taking blind stabs at troubleshooting?

Re: I think GPX broke OSMaps

To me, it appears to be working. I'm able to view your photos in both OSM and GM when I choose either of the icons to open the full-screen maps. Granted, I don't see anything on the map window when in "Category Description" View.

Interestingly, your site showed me something that I had missed: the GPX map capability of the plug-in!  Alas, I've still not been able to determine how to make it appear on my site. I wonder if it's a limitation of the Luciano Amodio theme which I'm using.  In any case, how did you upload the gpx file?  The instructions are rather cryptic: "All need is to upload your GPX tracks file the PWG way" ???

With apologies if the method is already clearly indicated somewhere that I've not yet been able to find, could you please post how you did this? Thanks :-)

Re: I think GPX broke OSMaps

I was a bit premature;  the OSM map is indeed a bit buggy. The display of the photos on the bottom bar is sporadic. Try zooming in and out over the Hawaiian Islands and you'll see what I mean.

In any case, I'm still excited about the possibility of showing the entire gpx track on a map, buggy or not.  Looking forward to your comments.

Re: I think GPX broke OSMaps

Thanks for replying.

For me the map isn't showing any pins.  Just a few days ago the map at any zoom would be covered with pins or photo thumbnails.  There are photos in the carousel--again sporadically, and clicking them doesn't go anywhere.  Is that what you're seeing?

Regarding how to upload a GPX, by default the system only lets you upload photo-types (JPG/PNG/GIF/SWF/etc), so you need to go to Local Files Editor and cut and paste in this line:
          $conf['upload_form_all_types'] = true;

Re: I think GPX broke OSMaps

OH, I just realized that it's only October 2015 and the All Dates (root) folder OSM maps that don't work.  So again, it's gotta' be that GPX file messing it up.

So that plugin was written by xbgmsharp.  How do we summon him?  :)

Re: I think GPX broke OSMaps

The display of the photos on the bottom bar is sporadic.

Agree I have a lot of issue with the carousel. Looking to do better for Mapv4
If you don't like you can use map v2 or Map v3.

"All need is to upload your GPX tracks file the PWG way" ???

. The wiki is free to edit if you have a better wording. You upload the GPX file the same way you upload the photo. I update the documentation with the wording of @mrcolj

In regards to your world map. The javascript console show an error.
