Happy new year 2016 with Piwigo

2015 was mainly the year we moved to Github, which is probably the biggest technical change we embraced for years. It was, and still is, a technical challenge. We're now more and more efficient with this new tool and new features are coming. What's in the overall roadmap for 2016?

* releases 2.8 & 2.9 and maybe 2.10. We would like to shorten the release cycle. Less features on each release, but more often.

* introduction of a Piwigo "directory", separate from the Piwigo "showcase". It will be easier to enter the Piwigo directory, compared to showcase.

* get your Piwigo highlighted when participating to the Piwigo demo. The idea is to have high quality and fresh content in the demo and give credits to Piwigo community for that.

Happy new year 2016 with Piwigo :-)

Sorry, I had missed this question!

The "problem" is that the "mission" of the showcase is not to list all Piwigo websites. We try to have criteria like specific customization, well known people, etc. On the other side, a "directory" would be very usefull, and it wouldn't be necessary to have the same "filter" as in the showcase.

The participative demo is something I'm currently working on. The idea is to have fresh/quality content on http://piwigo.org/demo and to promote Piwigo users at the same time. From your own Piwigo you will be able to "contribute to demo" any photo. This photo will be copied to Piwigo demo and we will decide to add it (or not). On the page of the photo, there will be a backlink to the original Piwigo.
