Re: Changing Hosting Servers problems

I'm sorry I don't know what you mean? The website as you can see is live and I created the MYSQL settings and changed the login info now as where you have shown me. But as you can see it still isn't working. As mentioned I moved from 1 hosting server to another.

Re: Changing Hosting Servers problems

Yeah I understood and what I am saying is that you need to export the database of host 1 and import it on host 2. The how to depends on what tools the two hosts provide, so for this you are you own (generally everything is done through phpMyAdmin).

Re: Changing Hosting Servers problems

I haven't got a clue what you are talking about? I don't want to loose this gallery because he will be very angry at me and it took a lot of hard work. Please tell me step by step what I need to do because this host 1 and host 2 and extract this makes no sense to me I have not a programmer.

Thanks

Re: Changing Hosting Servers problems

As I said I can't make a guide as I don't know what tool you have, search Google and the doc of the hosts. And you don't need to be a programmer to do that !!

If they closed the service and you didn't made a backup then sorry but you lost everything. You can know start a new gallery and reupload your files and recreate each album.

Re: Changing Hosting Servers problems

So you didn't made a full backup. You missed the DATABASE.

There is no solution for you if you don't have any means to retrieve the old database.

Re: Changing Hosting Servers problems

I zipped all the files - what do you mean DATABASE? How can I save a database? The FTP is exactly the same as the last FTP what are you talking about? If you don't want to help me gathering by the tone and your lack of enthusiasm then just tell me!!

Re: Changing Hosting Servers problems

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Database
https://www.google.fr/search?q=phpmyadm … p+database
(Links you could have foudn yourself after reading my posts).

It's not on the FTP server. Period.

You are right I don't want to help, because THERE IS NOTHING TO DO. Get it ? If your host shutted down without providing ways to do a full backup (not only the files) it's over.

Now I'm out, good luck.

Re: Changing Hosting Servers problems

Hi ljinuk,

mistic100 was absolutely not arrogant. And I don't see the relation with the country he lives in.

There is no "customer service" here. There is "community support". And mistic gives his time and skills to help you. You should not expect more than that. He gives you exact information about what you have to do to recover your Piwigo.

Now if you need "paid support", see http://pigolabs.com
