Hi, I've uploaded pictures and all the portrait pictures have become landscape. What is happening here and how can I solve this?
Thanks for your aid.

I had this happen in PowerDirector. There are two settings in the JPEG metadata that show the aspect ratio of the picture. Some programs seem to just change the setting for orientation form landscape to portrait when they rotate. You need to make sure that the top left corder is identified too. I'm travelling at the moment so can't give you details. If you can't loace what I'm referring to get back to me and I'll look it out.

I've resized them with a Batch Resizer, perhaps the EXIF info got lost. I'll see if I can find a Piwigo plugin to rotate them.
It's annoying though. :-(

I checked the EXIF information and the Orientation is clearly present : "horizontal (normal)" or Rotate 90 CW". So I don't understand why Piwigo doesn't take this into account.

Problem solved.
It was not Piwigo, but it was "BD Sizer" that did a weird interpretation of the Orientation information.
On one picture the Exif said "Right top" and the BD Sizer application turned that info to "Rotate CCW 90", which made the portraits lay on their back...
I used another picture resizer tool and now all my pictures are correctly displayed.
Ouf.
