Hi there,
Is anybody able to help me with this problem?
Trying to download a resized picture with "Download by size" often fails. May be because of the system not beeing able to rename the file correctly?
For example the real name of the file on the webserver is "IMG29-xs.jpg" (named this way by the plugin) and the file offered for download is named "IMG29_432x252.JPG", if working. If not working I get "Requested file not found - .../IMG29-xs.jpg", even if the file is there. So the plugin creates the resized file but not the correct link.
It happens very often, but not on all pictures. I did not find any correlation.
The problem does not occure in all browsers. No problems with Chrome and IE on Windows, but problems with Firefox on Win, Safari on iPad, Android tablet. Also not with all providers: no problems with an installation on 1&1 webspace, but problems with the same installation on Networksolutions webspace.
Problem was on Piwigo 2.7.4 with plugin version 2.7a and Piwigo 2.8.0 (update) with 2.7a and 2.8a, all combinations with the same behaviour.
Any suggestions? Please heeeeeeeelp!
Kind regards,
Chris

Hello
if if you generate the resized pictures of display that size before downloading it does th probleme still occur ?

Hi Flop,
when the pictures have been viewed one time in the specific size, I can download them. So the problem only occurs when the plugin generates the resized picture.
Further tests showed that the behaviour is the same in all Browsers, as against the description in my first post.
Many thanks,
Chris

Yes, thanks, I will do it this way. Hope not to get in trouble with the provider because of the intensive CPU usage ;-)
