Hi,
I've tried both extensions/plugins for custom user fields, but both seem not to show the extra fields on the registration page and edit profile page.
I'm using the Bootstrap Darkroom (standaard) Theme.
How can we fix this?
System info:
Piwigo 2.8.2
PHP: 5.5.36
MySQL: 5.5.5-10.0.25-MariaDB
Graphics Library: GD bundled (2.1.0 compatible)

The "user custom fields" plugin seems to expect <fieldset>.*</fieldset> form tags and inserts it's own form stuff there. This will not work with bootstrap forms (http://getbootstrap.com/css/#forms)
So currently, there is no sane way to support this plugin in Bootstrap Default/Darkroom.

Ok, so it's one the most popular responsive themes.
So I guess I have to try hire a developer? and program something in it to also support
<div class="form-group"> ? , cause there are more bootstrap themes in the theme directory, would be nice if someone could do this.

I guess it would require a "bootstrap version" of this plugin. Ideally it should be written in a way that allows themes to override the template files the plugin ships with.
But let me check if I can get it working anyway by modifying something in the theme. Stay tuned.

Support for user_custom_fields is now in Bootstrap Darkroom GIT version. I came up with a hack that makes it work.

Wow that is very very cool. I will gonna install it. But can you tell me which files to overwrite?
I did not changed the theme templates itself, but how to install your update, overwrite everything?
Also which plugin did u tested?
I have this one installed
http://nl.piwigo.org/ext/extension_view.php?eid=832
But this version is more cool, with drag and drop.

Or do they work both on the Git version
Thanks

Ok I just tested your fix, it works perfectly with this plugin
User Custom Fields
http://nl.piwigo.org/ext/extension_view.php?eid=833
Is it also possible to show them on the edit profile.php page too?, people cannot edit them now.
Thanks a million!

This is fixed in git now, too. Only the user_custom_fields plugin is supported.

Ok I see it now too, that is working, thanks!:)
Would be nice if the sorting would work too on this in the theme, now all new fields are on top.
But I just mentioned the entered data is not showing on the edit profile page and also when editing the user in admin (click edit, in the lightbox > edit custom fields data is empty)
I checked the database and I can see the extra custom field user data, so that is working.
I guess this is the a plugin issue? Also for profile page?
Thank you for your help!
