Newbie Install problem - Headers and client library minor version ...

Hi -

I'm a newbie and just installed the software. I'm running Nginx, PHP5, MariaDB, and the latest 2.8.6 release.

The first problem is a message that I see at the top of various pages:

Warning: mysqli::mysqli(): Headers and client library minor version mismatch. Headers:50553 Library:100121 in /usr/share/nginx/html/include/dblayer/functions_mysqli.inc.php on line 67

The second problem is the following message when I try to work with users:

DataTables warning (table id = 'userList'): DataTables warning: JSON data from server could not be parsed. This is caused by a JSON formatting error.

Any tips of guidance would be appreciated!

Re: Newbie Install problem - Headers and client library minor version ...

HI. I have the same problem.

mysqli::mysqli(): Headers and client library minor version mismatch. Headers:50636 Library:50552 in /home/company/webdir/gallery/include/dblayer/functions_mysqli.inc.php on line 67

According to my hosting provider I should ignore this error but I also get the javascript error:

DataTables warning: table id=userList - Invalid JSON response. For more information about this error, please see http://datatables.net/tn/1 message and I'm unable to manage users.

Re: Newbie Install problem - Headers and client library minor version ...

Ok. The problem here is the warning-message being displayed. It will show up in any output including the JSON-responses and that corrupts the JSON information.
Turing off php error_reporting in the config-files solved the problem.

Having error_reporting set to ALL as default is a serious security risk. It should ONLY be enabled for debugging. If you absolutely need it to be on for troubleshooting during the installation process there should be a promt to turn it off afterwards.
