Improving security

Greetings,

Is there any chance that the Admin area could be broken into two different directories?

administrator containing all back end modules + login

admin containing front end gallery modules.

On my Joomla sites, I am able to "protect" the administrator director (using .htaccess) and this really helps in matters of security.  It basically stops any "hacker" from trying to "break in". This is especially helpful when the php upload size needs to be set high to allow uploading of large video / photographic files.

Just a thought.

Nigel.

Re: Improving security

Hello
how do you technically do your safety?
Because admin files do are in the admin folder, and you can also check the urls in a htaccess so I suggest you dig up more then come back to us, with more details
