Howdy y'all,
UPDATE: See results of "Check database integrity" test below (there were more detailed messages, too).
I am once again having the dreaded "Internal Server Error" that results from requesting to edit an album.
After making the request, a long time passes - about two minutes - and then I get the following:
"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@photos.384thbombgroup.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
I am guessing that the error really results from exceeding the processing time allotment for a process, but I am not sure.
This SEEMS to be related to the number of subordinate albums and images in the album for which an edit was requested. Here are the URLs of a couple of albums which exhibit this behavior:
https://photos.384thbombgroup.com/index … tegory/840
https://photos.384thbombgroup.com/index … egory/3693
Each of these have in excess of 40,000 images in hundreds of albums.
In the past I have attempted to use Maintenance Tools to address this issue, with no change in behavior, but honestly I didn't know what to do about the anomalies reported by the tools.
I would be grateful for any assistance offered.

Hello
that has been already discussed
your server is too slow and is hanging then stopping in a unfinished state after a certain period of time
You can
- change the server
- change the cms
- keep pressing F5 and select Yes to send back previous information
- select sub album by sub album
etc
I was in your case sometime ago on a crapy free web hosting ; i was just keeping pressing F5

Thanks, flop25.
Other operations - including edit most other albums - respond quickly and successfully, so I am thinking I might have a mal-configuration of Piwigo, or something similar.
This prevents me from updating the description of the album, for one thing, which is needed.
The server is pretty good, otherwise. It is not free, but it is low-priced. I'll have to look at the logs to see if there is any useful data.

iterating folders, scanning the content and reading metadata takes time and relies on the disk performances tpp That's all

Good question!
I attempt to edit the album by clicking on the little pencil at the upper right (when logged in as admin). That is when the problem occurs. Two minutes later I get the "Internal Server Error" message, and I am prevented from performing any edit functions, such as revise the Name or Description.

I should also have said that the edit screen never comes up. I thought it was obvious, but I was rong.
