Tagging permission

Hi,

Is it possible to give specific permission to add tags to a picture only to specific registered users/groups?

At the moment it seems only to be possible to add tags from administrator accounts, but in my case means to give too much "power" :-)

Thank you!

Piwigo version: 2.9.3
PHP version: PHP 7.0.30-0+deb9u1
MySQL version: Ver 15.1

Re: Tagging permission

Not to my knowledge.

But you can import tags that you have set previously in an external image editor.

Re: Tagging permission

Thank you for answer.

But are TAGS stored into image header or into DB?

Thanks.

Re: Tagging permission

The tags contained in your image "header" (EXIF) when adding an image are stored in the database as keywords. You can also add keywords from selected images in the Batch Manager.

Re: Tagging permission

Keep in mind that when adding additional/new tags via Piwigo, they are only stored in to the DB.

There is a module 'writemeta' (I think) that will take the Piwigo DB tags and write them to the exif header of the image.
