Hello,
I am using this for the first time since Gallery is no longer being developed. I currently use Yahoo Small Business for my web hosting (used them since 2000) I have tried both the manual install and the net install and they both fail at the same point. I input all of the install info and then the page "times out" with a 500 error. I then deleted the install and copied the files over and got a completed install message that I should of gotten but like before everytime I go to the index.php I get this error:
Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: Cannot open source device in /soccer/april/include/common.inc.php:156 Stack trace: #0 /soccer/april/include/common.inc.php(156): session_start() #1 /soccer/april/index.php(26): include_once('/soccer/april/i...') #2 {main} Next Error: Failed to create session ID: user (path: /tmp) in /soccer/april/include/common.inc.php:156 Stack trace: #0 /soccer/april/include/common.inc.php(156): session_start() #1 /soccer/april/index.php(26): include_once('/soccer/april/i...') #2 {main} thrown in /soccer/april/include/common.inc.php on line 156

I'm confused. Did you not have it installed when you posted this?
[Forum, topic 24150] Photos apear in one folder but not another
Did you try asking Yahoo?

So it would appear that I had tried this gallery a while back. I didn't realize this until I had already posted asking for help. That being said, this is unrelated to that post. Coincidentally that gallery isn't working either but I believe it is for different reasons. The gallery I posted about on the 26th is a new one that I tried to install/get working on the 26th.
In all honesty I believe my MySQL database is hosed. Yahoo is blaming Piwig and told me to ask them for help. I had posted before contacting yahoo. I am having some other issues where basically all of my sites relying on MySQL seem to not work properly but yahoo says it is not them even-though they supply the MySQL instance. Thought it couldn't hurt asking here also.

Seems to be working.

LOL,
I fixed it last night. It all had to do with PHP. I enabled, PHP 7.2.6 which was apparently the issue. When I reverted back to 5.3.6 everything started working again. I just didn't have time to post an update. You beat me to it :)

Other people got the Piwigo core working with PHP 7.2
Extensions sometimes give warnings though. It might have to do with the PHP modules you enable.
