Greetings,

When I as administrator, tried to modify album name and add description to the album, I received "403 Forbidden Access to this resource on the server is denied!" message.

PHP version: 5.6.40
MySQL version: 5.6.41

I am a newbie here myself, but here's a suggestion: check the permissions on your Piwigo gallery folders. Should be set to 0755.

I encountered 403 errors while trying to migrate a Gallery3 installation to Piwigo. Fixing the permissions eliminated the errors.

BTW, the Piwigo gallery file permission value is 0644.

Thank you so much for your instructions :).

After I changed GALLERY folder permissions to 775, no more 403 errors. Every time I tried to modify album name, folder permission 755 prevents me to do so even I can modify the album name via MySql database directly.

that's server administration ; if you fully own your server, you might review your permission system (users, groups etc) to have stricter permissions
