Hello/Hi/Greetings,

i created a gallery and uploaded ~200 photos (1.4GB) i have 180 processes of convert running all in status D.

The galllery is missing thumbnails... any idea? is it a bug?

Piwigo version: latest
PHP version: 7.2

processes looks like

I didnt say pics do not appear. I said there are ~180 process of convert running in parallel and all in state D, after 10 hours they finished and previews where there... .

May i somehow limit max concurrent number running process of "convert"?

I heard what you said. I directed you to the FAQ because you said you had "missing thumbnails". The FAQ has a section titled "My pictures are registered, but no thumbnails!". I still think you should read it because the suggestions could help you.

thumbnails are created on demand or on the batch manager
But in both case not all pictures are processed at one time.
do you have many visitors and are the new pictures directly available after upload?

Executive is just trying to be helpful and event if that doc does not address exactly your issue, you can still find useful information on how it works, how to debug etc
