Greetings,

I have my Piwigo gallery up and running. It is very simple and I used no tricks. I have 8,893 photos and 100 albums for a total of 30 GB. I need to change my host provider. Therefore, I need to copy/move my entire Piwigo installation from my former host to my new host. I just want it to continue working just as it is now. No changes. What are the exact steps that I need to take to do that?

I did a search through the forum and there are a few threads that mention something like this. But they are not clear and I am not sure if they are for a simple move/copy or if their complexity is due to the need for managing special issues. I want a very simple copy to migrate my entire system/gallery to the new server.

- remove plugins
- copy files
- copy database
- update database.inc.php to reflect new server settings.

i never removed plugins nor any extensions when transferring
just to be sure you can set you gallery in maintenance mode and disable extensions temporary. Especially if you have many visitors
if the domain changes you might do a search and replace in the database
