Piwigo = for nerds
I have had hosted service for 5 years now. I decided to have a new look at the plugin stuff. Its impossible for idiots like me. No documentation, no explanations, no demo's, not possible to do. I turned on about a dozen plugins, and not even a single one can be understood.
Edit Filename -> nope. Nothing
Exif View -> Where?
Guestbook -> Euhm? No. No link available
Localfileseditor -> Huh? What is supposed to happen than?
Embedded videso -> no videos play. Anywhere.
RV Menu Tree -> Changes what exactly? I see no changes. Anywhere
Stop Spammers -> Why? And how? Or should I say where?
Fotorama -> I switched it to "on", yet, as I expected, it doe snot work.
...
This is EXTREMELY frustrating!

If you can't be bothered to read the docs or forums, there are plenty of non-nerdy services like Google photos

OK, I understand the lack of explanations can be frustrating. Can you be more specific about what you would expect so that plugins become easy to understand.
PS : considering you've chosen Piwigo back in 2014 makes it obvious you're not an idiot ;-)

novw is a user on Piwigo.com, which is designed to be much simpler to use than Piwigo self-hosted, because you don't have to install it, update it or back it up. Even if novw seems to be only ranting on Piwigo, I know for sure he's trying to understand what are plugins for and don't understand. We can't blame anybody for not understanding. Piwigo must be improved to make things more "understandable".
