Hello!

I'd like to set up a web gallery, with the following spec:
- There is a webserver with piwigo
- there is a NAS (storage) with all the photo (the webserver has access to this directory)
- using digikam.

scenario:
- I don't want to show all the photo from the directory.
- I don't want to store the pictures twice.
My idee to somehow set up piwigo to use the remote directory as picture directory (read only), and use the digikam export(?) to update the metadata for the selected pictures.

Or #2 try:
- piwigo scan the remote directory and build up the database from metadata
- I manualy selected /moved the pictures to albums and leave many for "not published".
- piwigo rescan the directory and updated the database based form modified metadata
