Hi,

Is there a way to configure Piwigo so, upon image upload, it automatically populates 'Creation Date' for files that don't have metadata available? I frequently have PNG files taken from iOS that have no embedded metadata and they end up having NULL values for Creation Date which means they don't show up correctly in my albums which are sorted by 'Creation date'

Ideally I'm looking for a way to either:
-automatically set the date to the image file date created timestamp if no metadata are in the file
or
-automatically set the date to the image post timestamp if no metadata are in the file

automatically, no.
But you can use batch manager to set the creation date with a few clicks.

I created a plugin extension named "Default Creation Date To Today" to implement this behavior automatically

Automatically set the "Creation Date" of uploaded images that have no DateTimeOriginal EXIF data to the date/time they were uploaded.

If you like to organize your albums by Creation Date but sometimes upload images with no EXIF data this extension will default the creation date to the time they were uploaded so they show up in a meaningful order.
