Hello/Hi/Greetings,
on the 'dump database" step:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysql_select_db() in /var/www/zzhtml/pix/admin/include/mysqldump.php:75
Stack trace: #0 /var/www/zzhtml/pix/admin/include/mysqldump.php(66): MySQLDump->setDatabase('mysql') #1 /var/www/zzhtml/pix/admin/include/updates.class.php(481): MySQLDump->__construct('mysql', '/var/www/zzhtm...', false, false) #2 /var/www/zzhtml/pix/admin/updates_pwg.php(106): updates::dump_database(false) #3 /var/www/zzhtml/pix/admin/updates.php(43): include('/var/www/zzhtm...') #4 /var/www/zzhtml/pix/admin.php(312): include('/var/www/zzrarhtm...') #5 {main} thrown in /var/www/zzhtml/pix/admin/include/mysqldump.php on line 75
I know I can dump the database manually, but wondering if the upgrade step will have similar PHP errors, reducing the site to ashes... Please advise, thanks!

It's only in the dump.

I had the same problem, the dump within the upgrade window ended with an error.
The upgrade itself worked as expected without any problems.
After the update a lot of plugins are set as inactive and the modus-theme is active.
You can change these settings in admin-menue and your website should work and look as before.
