Does Google index images use watermarked ?

I have thousands of images, I only want Google to index them watermarked. Does it do this anyway, or is there something I need to do to make sure they only index watermarked versions?

Re: Does Google index images use watermarked ?

you shouldn't need to do anything. Image derivatives are rewritten with permanent watermarks.

Re: Does Google index images use watermarked ?

Where are the derivatives located ? I ran spidering software on my site to check and non watermarked are showing.. bit worrying.

Derivatives are under _data/i/upload/ and maybe upload/*/*/*/pwg_representative/ created manually or by plugins.

Re: Does Google index images use watermarked ?

Thanks :) I'll go check and see (make sure) google and others only indexing these. I'm wanting to stop images appearing in their results that public could just save out. Seems to defeat the whole watermarking thing.

Re: Does Google index images use watermarked ?

Found them at _data/i/upload/ but not in upload folders ... I can see that the larger sizes are watermarked, which is great.

Thanks for your help.
