Purpose of multiple active themes? How to change between them as user?

Greetings,

I'm new to Piwigo, but do have good experiencxe with web services, web hosting, and programming.

I wonder what the purpose of having multiple *active* themes might be? It seems that only the one marked as standard is ever being used. Should a visitor be able to switch, may be by using the "Customise" menu item (displayed at top right)? What do I need to do so he/she can?

I tried searching the forum and read the docs, but could not find an answer.
Would anyone be able to give me hint? Pointers to docs is fine; I just haven't found it yet.

Regards
Peter

Hi phunsoft,

Which theme are you currently using?

I'm asking because indeed the user should have the ability to switch theme on his "customize" (or "profile") page.

Hi plg
Thanks for responding.

The "modus" theme is marked as standard. Themes "elegant", and "smart pocket" are activated.

The page is at https://hunki.ch/photogalleries/ and you can login using someone/someone if you want to have a look.

Regards
Peter

Re: Purpose of multiple active themes? How to change between them as user?

Nevermind, I've found the problem.

I didn't want anyone to register themselves, so I unchecked that option. In the course of that, I seem to inadvertabtly have unchecked the option "Allow user customization", too, which is just below the "Allow user registration".

I'm sorry
Peter
