Hello everyone,
New to Piwigo, I'm trying to setup a private gallery for our photo club. I'm currently trying both the stable and beta3 version.

Beta 3 gives me an error on the group management page:
Warning: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in /home/(redacted)/galerie/_data/templates_c/p6jhns^7c0b83540de9b422e57c6e7c0660dbe3201868c5_0.file.group_list.tpl.php on line 111

After a few reloads, I was able to create groups and the message disappeared.

Any idea of what is causing this? Overall, how stable do you think beta3 is?

I also have a few other issues/errors, but I'll post them in another topic.

beta versions of software are intended to reveal bugs, so I wouldn't expect it to be error free.

Your message is a warning though, not error.

Try disabling plugins if any and if that still doesn't work then you always have the stable release.

Thanks for your reply. I know very well what dev/beta/RC/GA versions are, I was just wondering how "beta" this beta 3 was :) That's also why I'm working on the 2 versions in parallel.

Following your suggestion I've disabled all plugins (I had admin tools and easy captcha activated) but the warning reappears whenever I have no group in Piwigo.

Is the detailed message enough for the team to hunt down the source of the warning? Anything else I can share to help?

Since this feels like a server-side issue, I'm not sure that my browser info is significant but here it is anyway: I'm one the latest Chrome on Linux Mint, but the issue also occurs on Chrome / Windows 10.

if you want to help, you can post a report in the Piwigo github. I think there is a way to turn on debug messages for Piwigo too.

I'm seeing the same error on the Groups tab, but it hasn't gone away for me.
