[resolved] Can I rename the root directory of Piwigo installation without issues?

Hi all,

If my Piwigo installation was initially installed at mydomain.com/albums/ and I want to change it to mydomain.com/galleries/ can I just rename the "albums" folder to "galleries" without issues? Are all paths relative or are there absolute links being created during installation?

Thanks!

AFAIK absolute paths aren't stored, unless you used one as href in the page banner, for example.

You may want to add

Redirect permanent /albums /galleries

to your root .htaccess to redirect incoming requests (or omit the permanent keyword for as long as you are testing so clients get a temporary 302 instead of permanent 301 status code).

Running Piwigo at https://erack.net/gallery/

No problem. Just clean the _data/templates_c directory and you're good :-)
