I want the users to always see the IPTC data without having to click on anything.

I found this thread which seemed to have the answer

so using the localfiles editor plugin I added

$conf['show_iptc'] = true;
$_SESSION['show_metadata'] = true;

Like the OP in the original thread this does not work for me.  The user still has to click on the camera icon.

Toggling $conf['show_iptc'] = true; turns the IPTC data display on and off when the camera icon is clicked.

Toggling $_SESSION['show_metadata'] = true; changes nothing.

The original post is over 5 years old maybe something changed over the years.  Is there a way to make the IPTC data show without input from the user?
