I was wonder if it was possible to have image zooming like this example:

or using

I know that tiled images can be created with Imagemagick and VIPS

ex:
http://iipimage.sourceforge.net/documentation/images/

So when user uploads VIPS can crank out the needed tiles that Seadragon would hook into to create the zoomable interface.

I was just searching for such a plugin, with seadragon.

I have a collection of panoramic photos (http://eremita.di.uminho.pt/~ambs/panoramics/), some of which with very large sizes, and I would like to merge this gallery with my other Piwigo galleries.

Looking forward for developments on this area.

I noticed there is a plugin named "panoramas". Installed it but didn't notice any change on any picture, even changing the filename, as suggested in the plugin website. Even the "demo" from the login website doesn't work.

Hello

Panorama plugin only makes the photo move from right to left or back. Sometimes on 360°. It does not enable zooming.

There was once a plugin called "Loupe" (= magnifying glass) When moving the cursor over the photo, you would get a zoomed zone, and one could zoom in or out with the middle button of the mouse. But visitors of my site did not find it pleasant, because it was always active somewhere and one could not enjoy the full view of the photo. Anyway, the coder decided not not distribute it anymore.
