Correct way to uninstall?

Hi,

My service provider has changed to database names so I cannot open piwigo anymore (some kind of security issue. I am also using now https instead of http so this could also be the reason). Of course I could try to correct the connections but as I have not been using Piwigo for a long time I though this could be a right time to uninstall Piwigo and clean up some server space.

How do you suggest I should do it? Should I just try to delete the piwigo folder with ftp or what? How about the database's? I am the owner so I should have the rights(?)

Re: Correct way to uninstall?

Deleting the Piwigo installation folder should do, if the upload/ and _data/ directories (and possibly galleries/ if ftp-sync was used) are all subdirectories of that, as is the default.

For the database it depends on your hosting, you should have some interface for that there.

However, if it's only because of changed database names (whether it's http or https shouldn't really matter with a decent Piwigo version) then you can adjust the name in the file piwigo/local/config/database.inc.php entry for db_base.
