Hello and Hi

I've installed the Bootstrap Darkroom theme, but the navigation icons (all the icons) display only as little boxes. I've tried looking for the issue, but I can't find what's wrong. I really do want to use the theme--it's the best for my site. Any ideas of how I can fix this? I have searched the forum with no luck.

Sounds like corrupt files, delete and upload again.

Hello. Thanks very much for your help.

I removed the installed version from the Piwigo app and even removed the folder on the server. I then reinstalled the theme using the Piwigo app, but I have exactly the same problem--the navigation icons don't render (just square boxes). It really does seem like the theme does not find the required files.

I then tried downloading the theme from the Git site and uploading it manually, but I have no luck getting the icons to appear.

Do you know what might be missing or how the configuration might need modification? Thanks again. JS

Hello ! Is your site online or local, on your computer ?
If your template uses remote, external fonts, I mean fonts that are not hosted within your web site (such as Google fonts or awesome), and if your site is not connected to the web, the remote fonts cannot be reached, loaded and displayed.

Font awesome is often used for icons or buttons.

Let me thank you again for you kind help. I expect you're onto something. My site is remote, hosted by Interserver.

When I load the site which is https://cjsphotostagingphp.johnsantana.com/ , and run the console, I get these messages and errors which show that something is missing. I have not changed the folder arrangement from its default. I'm lost, but maybe these will mean something obvious to you.

Looking at your page's Firefox Console errors you're lacking fonts under
themes/bootstrap_darkroom/node_modules/@fortawesome/fontawesome-free/webfonts/
(which is giving 404 for those 3).
That pretty much looks like a typo and probably should be @fontawesome instead of @fortawesome but I don't use bootstrap_darkroom nor do I know where to change that or whether it really comes with local fonts or you'd have to install them or what else would be wrong.

I am not sure that fortawesome is the typo. I find 9 occurrences of it, including the name of a folder, and my icons are displayed. (on this test site : https://imagedoc.revestou.fr/ which is still in beta 12)

Odd name (that @fortawesome), but then that appears to be ruled out. Are there actually fonts present in installations that work?

BUT ... my release of the theme is 2.4.6 and I remember having coming back to it because the newest release of Bootstrap Darkroom 2.5.1 did not suit me. I cannot remember why.
