Yes, bad habit. A few plugins (the very minority) come with a LICENSE or LICENSE.txt file. Helps only digging into their source code at Github or Trac, but usually there isn't more than installed.

I would assume (!) that all extensions under https://github.com/Piwigo fall under the same license as Piwigo itself. If in doubt ask the author.

-Header Manager (GNU General Public License v2.0) ?

Since Piwigo is GNU GPL V2, does it mean the extension also have that license maybe?

I have looked at each of them on Github and the only one that clearly states GNU GPL V2 is Header Manager.

The reason I wonder is because I will add some advertisement to my website/Piwigo gallery, and I assume that means commercial use.

Even if I don't put any ads on my website, if I just use it to showcase my work/offer my photos for free and put a link "Hire me as a photographer", that still means "commercial use", so this licensing question would be of interest to basically everyone I think. :)

I have gone through the list, unfortunately I can't contact anyone on this forum, it says I don't have permission. :(

So I don't really know how to get the answers, I think it should be of interest to most of Piwigo users, since "commercial use" means something as simple as showcasing your work and promote yourself to find new clients.

Maybe some plugin authors will see this thread. :)
