Sorry to complain but can’t find documentation for installing on a Shared Host.
Any pointers?

There's nothing particular in Piwigo for "shared hosting". How that is done depends entirely on your hosting provider. Check your directory and file permissions and if those are sufficient for the user the web server runs as then check in cPanel for restrictions or ask your hoster about mod_security and whether some rules are violated and should be lifted.

Solved by my Hosting Company! My installation was using common .htaccess.
