ackup solutions

Hello everyone,
Could you please share the backup solutions you're using to backup&restore the Piwigo library or possibly the entire server?

Thanks

Re: ackup solutions

I suggest that you provide information on hour server, what OS and Hardware environment. That can direct you to backing up your system. This is more of a system environment that a Piwigo.  Piwigo uses a SQL database to store pictures and there are options to just backup the SQL database without your entire system.

Need to understand your environment and do you need your entire system vs Piwigo, or just the Piwigo database, I am new as well, but hope this is helpful.

Re: ackup solutions

use Webmin as control panel on the server and it has a built in backup function where you can schedule backups . But you need to backup more than the database because the photos is not stored in the database, they are stored in a folder uploads

Re: ackup solutions

Webmin is a very nice tool but is way overkill for such a job.
My setup is: TrueNAS Core, the Piwigo runs on the Ubuntu VM and uploaded data is stored in the network share.
