Hello/Hi/Greetings,
For about two months, one single album on my gallery shows a blank (white) page. I already asked in another similar topic, but the original question was solved and I have new information since then.
Piwigo Version: not accessible at the moment, but no newer update was accessible.
php Version: not accessible at the moment, but no newer update was accessible.
php Version on my website according to provider: 7.4 FPM
Piwigo URL: https://carusoworld.ch/gallery
Blank album: "Basteleien" or https://carusoworld.ch/gallery/index.php?/category/221
What I already tried:
- Deleted the whole gallery folder via FTP, re-installed the newest Piwigo version from the website (meaning, I also deleted all plugins and themes). I didn't touch the database.
- Updated all plugins, themes, Piwigo itself before and after re-installing.
- I re-added two plugins, also the Advanced Editor (or similar) plugin that contains two code-parts, one for allowing umlauts and one for not displaying the piwigo version.
What I already found out:
- I don't get an error, just a white page when accessing that album. All other albums work fine.
- The url must be correct, as it is the same url that I plublished about two years ago.
- I also can't access that album from the admin panel, it also shows the white page. I can access the sub-folders from the admin panel, I was even able to upload new images to the subfolders, those work all fine. I also was able to upload one test-image to the "white" album. The admin panel says that there are subfolders and one image, but I also can't see the image or get a working url for it, as I probably would need to go through the white album.
- When accessing that album, it doesn't show up in the error log and doesn't activate ModSecurity.
- My provider updated to MySQL-Version 8.0.35 at the beginning to mid July. I don't know when exactly, so I don't know if this could be the cause.
- According to a friend who works with databases, the problem probably isn't the database. He found out that the white album is not actually blank, but contains only the source code "<pre></pre>". This is interesting, as the source code for another normal album doesn't contain any "<pre></pre>". Where does this come from? Does it come from a theme?
What I did, since we found "<pre></pre>":
- Checking again, that everything is updated
- Switching from "elegant" theme to "modus" as standard theme, which should be the default theme, as much as I read in this forum. Absolutely nothing happened, the theme didn't change, the white album didn't change.
- Installing "simple grey" as standard theme. Again, absolutely nothing happened. Installed "simple white" as standard theme, as I thought I would see the difference better. Nothing happened, even with Ctrl+F5.
- Opening the gallery in a private window in Firefox, it was displayed with the "simple white" theme. Still nothing with Ctrl+F5 in the normal window. I logged out, the gallery is now displayed with the "simple white" theme, but the album still doesn't work. I logged back in and instead got a 403 error. The url is https://carusoworld.ch/gallery/identification.php. I can't log in with either the admin account nor the normal user account, both get the 403 error. The error also happens in a private window in Firefox as well as in Chrome.
- I deleted the "simple white" theme folder via FTP, but still get the 403 error when trying to log in.
Any ideas on the white album page please?
