I am going on vacation and will be offline and I want to be able to modify the title and description offline and then have it uploaded to my album when I have access. From the documentation, it seems it should be doable but I can’t get it to work.
The photos I want to update the title and description for will be on my computer or my iPhone.

Editing title and description offline requires an offline application (i.e, a program or app that does not require an internet connection).
As far as I know, the Piwigo developers have not developed an offline application. So, a 3rd party application would be the consideration.
There are some 3rd party desktop applications that run on a computer that can do this, such as: digiKam, Shotwell, Lightroom, Darktable. I cannot say whether it is worthwhile for you to learn how to install and use these desktop applications.
I don't know if there is a smartphone app that can be used offline to edit the title and description.

Thank you very much for getting back to me.....I am a newbie and really appreciate it. Piwigo is a great tool and very robust.....there is a lot to learn.
I have discovered that if I put
$conf['show_iptc'] = true;
$conf['use_iptc'] = true;
in the config.inc.php the description will upload with pictures.....this will help because I will be able to put context around my pictures when I am offline.
I will continue to look to see if there is a way to have a custom title upload with the photo because that would meet all my needs....if I figure it out I will post it here for anyone else interested.
