Hello/Hi/Greetings,
Piwigo 15.4.0
I use Bootstrap Darkroom > Bootswatch Cyborg
Gthumb+
RV Thumb Scroll and many more
but that probably doesn't matter.
When I click on the thumbnail list to select another photo, or when I use the arrows above the image to show another photo, the entire page actually reloads with each click. Is it possible to make these thumbnails stay stably in their place, as they normally do on the Internet? I understand that it may be difficult, but such chaos makes you not want to watch it and you lose track of what you just clicked on. Since this is for viewing photos, friendly viewing should be the basis. I was sure it was possible, because it was such an obvious basis. Is it possible?
Below is an example link for Pigiwo and what I am looking for:
https://demo2.piwigo.com/picture?/9499/ … /401-trams
https://www.juicebox.net/demos/lite/full/
Thank you!

As far as I know, it is only possible if all photos are loaded in the background. (Example: if there are 100 photos in the album and they all have to be loaded in the background, the page will take a long time to load. With high-resolution photos, it can take a while for them all to load.)
Keeping the thumbnails in one place is difficult because it depends on how big the photo you are looking at is and how big the screen you are currently using is.
Or am I wrong?
Best wishes
Olaf

I don't know if what I wrote is clear, but TLDR:
I want the same or similar effect as in the links I provided.
As far as I know, the reason that Piwigo doesn't work like that is the simplicity of operating on PHP itself, but with some plugin with AJAX or jQuery maybe it can be done somehow.
There is also an option that something like this already exists, but I haven't found it :D
ADDITIONALLY: And although I am looking for what is in the link, the goal is to make sure that not only the gallery of photos and thumbnails is visible, but also that comments and ratings and exif and other parameters are loaded, they may not load immediately, for example only when someone scrolls down, but that there is an option to have access to everything in this gallery for each photo, if necessary.

Hello epiwigo.
PIWIGO works exactly like this, see here. Everything is loaded immediately as soon as the photo is called up. You have to scroll down but the data is there. There are plugins that make this possible. What more do you want? Considering that PIWIGO is an open source program, it is very good.

Unfortunately, the link you provided (if correct) shows the same gallery as I provided earlier. This is not what I was talking about. What I mean is that in the link you provided, after selecting the next photo or thumbnail, the ENTIRE PAGE reloads. This causes chaos and discourages viewing. It's just not as smooth as the example I gave (this one i need: https://www.juicebox.net/demos/lite/full/). Have I explained more clearly now?
OFFTOPIC:
And I like Piwigo very much. I chose Piwigo for a reason, it's a free, wonderful, simple system that has huge possibilities and I believe that these features will make it popular. There is Drupal, but it is a bit overkill for simple galleries and requires experience, Wordpress, Prestashop and many others turned from a beautiful idea into a business, everything that was free turned into paid, bit by bit, over time. Piwigo, with a bit of refinement, will be perfect and maybe it will become the standard one day.
