Like quite a few other users, my images and videos are not physically stored on the same VM that hosts Piwigo. Instead, I’ve mounted Google Drive via rclone and additionally enabled encryption in rclone.

When I view the images or videos, they are first transferred from the Google Drive server to my relatively small VM, decrypted there, and then sent to the browser for display.

What I would like instead is for Piwigo to perform the decryption in the browser and fetch the data directly from the Google Drive servers.

What would be needed for this is, for each object, an (computed) alternative URL that points directly to the Google Drive server, as well as integration of rclone-js ([GitHub] rclone-js issue #29) to decrypt the images in memory within the browser.
