Greetings all,
I've got some 20k of images and 750 albums of those images on Google Photos.
For a variety of reasons, I want to migrate that to a system under my control, that I can manage who has access and who doesn't, and to what.
The Google archive is a mirror of a photo warehouse I have, in which all the photos are in appropriately named folders.
My first selection for a system to do this was Immich.
I got it installed on my homelab, and faultlessly connects through Traefik and Coudflare to the outside world. That's the good part.
All my images are on a Synology NAS, and I was able to map that and import them into Immich. Thanks to a very powerful github tool, I was able to create albums of the images (all 750+ of them) in Immich.
Now comes the hard part.
I've created credentialed users, but they can't see either the photos or albums. There are some settings whereby I can give them sort of access, but my goal is for them to log into the tool, and see the images and albums I've created. Evidently this capability is a "future capability" for the team.
Which brought me to Piwigo.
Would Piwigo support this type of usage?
Thank you for your thoughts before I jump into this.
Chris
